A love of the past

Darker gets the night and silence beset four walls
Am I Trapped, I wonder..
denied! the shimmering light through the drapes of the shutter
A visitor I reckon,  the  flashes that beckon
Reminds the flickers of your eyelid
Of the times you laughed or the times you cried!!

First glimpse caught me breaking
the memory barrier to the bygone
Good ole days to remember
to start afresh is to whimper
 I tried to bury the memory
And yet i embraced the souvenir
Vigorously I tried to recover
But the flickers stayed forever !!
